Czech Republic

Czech was established January 1, 1993 after the velvet split of Czechoslovakia. The Czech flag is identical to the flag of the former Czechoslovakia. This flag was created March 30, 1920. The blue triangle was added as a symbol of Slovakia to the original historic Czech flag with white and red horizontal bands. White, blue and red are Pan-Slav colors taken from the Russian flag.
